What if lost or stolen my passport?
THEFT, LOSS, DESTRUCTION OR MUTILATION
When this happens in México: Holder may request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issuing a new document, after fulfilling the requirements for the issuance of ordinary passports for the first time over 18 years, under 18 or disabled. Also invariably must submit a copy certified by the Public Prosecutor of the complaint raised to the document.
When this occurs abroad: Holder may request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issuing a new document, after fulfilling the requirements for the issuance of ordinary passports for the first time over 18 years, under 18 or disabled. Also must prove that a finding to the competent authority of the country where the events occurred, also must prove that a finding to the competent authority of the country where the events occurred, or that a finding in the Consular Office nearest, if for reasons of language or customs of the place was not possible to obtain a written record.
Note:In these cases, the passport will not be delivered on the day of your order
Foreign documents submitted must be properly annotated or authenticated and translated, if necessary, into Spanish by an officer.
The passport or travel document of identity and maimed or destroyed will not apply: The incumbent may request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to issue a new document, subject to fulfillment of the requirements for issuance of ordinary passports for the first time over 18 aged under 18 or disabled and must display the damaged document and the document referred to in the immediately preceding paragraph, to be drilled, canceled and returned.
